 Over 15 days we journey togther with the rose through daily tea meditations and simple devotional practices. This is a not about doing more, it is about anchoring presence and opening space for receiving. This is a devotional practice for deepening or developing your relationship with the Divine Mother as she lovingly guides you into the sanctuary of your heart.  You will leave with simple, lifelong daily practices that will forever call you back to the truth of your hearts desires, and carry you through the storms of life with grace and ever-expanding trust.

What is Rosa Mystica?

Rosa Mystica, or the Mystic Rose is one of the names long given to the Mother Goddess, she of a thousand names. Many see the rose as a symbol of the Mother Goddess, yet when we approach the rose from a plant-led perspective, we understand that the rose is more than a symbol, she is the Mother Goddess. Literally holding the codes of creation within. 

The plants are living libraries of wisdom long lost to humans. Instead of learning from knowledge that has been filtered down through the ages by dogma or agendas, by working with the codes held in the rose you get to have a direct experience with the mystery. She is the one who teaches you as you welcome her to live in you through daily tea ceremony.

Deepen your relationship to your heart, and to the divine

If you desire to build a relationship with somebody – sit with them each day and listen. If you wish to develop intimacy, sit with them and speak from your vulnerable heart. If you wish to build a life of love and co-creation with someone, you must find the courage to speak your truest hearts desires.  

This, at its core, is what we will be doing during Rosa Mystica. But the relationship is between you and the Rose, between you and the Divine. Between you and the voice of loving truth that whispers to you through your sacred heart. 

Rosa Mystica is a frequency held in the rose, and remembered in our hearts. She is an ancient story, a song of life, death and rebirth that calls us to Divine Union. 

Together we will learn how to listen at the shrine of the Divine, that ever beating sacred altar of the heart that lies at the core of your being. 

Let the Rose be your guide. To birthing your hearts desires. To finding union with the Divine within. To understanding what it means to co-create with life. 

Let her hold you through your tears and your pain, let her teach you how to hear the voice of Love within, and let her teach you to be led by that voice of Love, so you can birth your hearts desire and walk in this world as a living prayer.

Let her teach you how to see through the spiritual eye of the heart, so you can see yourself, and life, through the eyes of God.

Let her lead you to the infinite treasures that lie hidden in your own heart.

Let her show you how to co-create the life of your dreams, and connect with the eternal presence of Divine Love that forever pulsates through your being.

Let her show you what it means to live as a prayer, to birth the divine child within, to create heaven on earth.

Led by plants, guided by myth

Working directly with the rose in tea ceremony is an act of holy communion. What could be more intimate than offering yourself up as a host to the Divine by drinking her medicine and allowing her to permeate every cell in your being? 

Working with the plants in this way opens us to a level of communion where we feel her moving us, speaking to us, from deep within. This practice opens expands our listening, so that we can connect with the voice of Love within, and let her lead.

The rose is life. She is a sacred symbol, and a living representation of the cycle of Creation – that infinite dance of birthing consciousness through a never ending spiral of life, death and rebirth.

These codes of life death and rebirth belong to the realm of the original Mother Goddess who was worshipped across generations, her stories and legends infiltrated all faiths. And her medicine survived all attempts at diminishing her.

The Rosary is testament to this. When we look to the rosary as a mythopoetic guide, it shows us how to live, how to die and how to be reborn. It guides us to become the mothers we never had. It liberates us to birth our gifts into this world, and it shows us the path to Divine Union, where we each give birth to the Divine Child – the light of consciousness.

The Rosary is a myth, a story, a prayer. It is a sacred technology that cannot be explained in words, as it must be experienced. The Rosary is made up of 15 Mysteries that carry us through the process of life, death and rebirth – from Joy, to Sorrow and to our ultimate Glory. It is the story of Creation. And it is so much more than that.

It is a mystery that can never truly be known. It can only be lived. 

As part of this journey we will explore the rosary as a myth, as a prayer and as a sacred technology that connects us to the prayer of creation. We will welcome it, and the Divine Mother, as a guide that anchors us through all of lifes trials, one that ultimately teaches us how to live, and how to die. Day by day, bead by bead, showing us how to gracefully let go of our old life, so that the truth of our hearts can be borne into existence.

We will also touch on other Christian mythopoetic inspiration – from the Gnostic gospels to the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, and the Creation stories of Genesis – as we journey together into the garden of our hearts.

Rosa Mystica in detail

Fifteen days of living prayer. Of loving devotion. Of connecting with like-hearted souls, and deepening your understanding of the language of your heart.

At home, you will connect directly to the rose through daily tea ceremony, prayer., contemplation and ritual. 

You have the option to join me daily (M-F) in my personal practice or in drop in prayer circles (dependent on demand). Alternatively simply follow the daily guided rituals in the course portal.

Every five days together we meet in sharing and teaching circles, to dive deeper into the mysteries of the rose and the mythic medicine of the rosary and how we can use them as faithful guides in a forever changing world.

How we prepare

Unlike a rose diet, you do not need to change anything in your life. Rosa Mystica is about giving you simple practices that can seamlessly flow into your everyday life. 

You’ll be given access to a portal with pre-recorded content and guidelines for the path ahead. There will also be a whatsapp group for sharing contemplations and revelations as we journey together.

Please note you will need to purchase a supply of organic roses for your daily tea ceremonies. You’ll also need a bowl/cup and a teapot for brewing your tea. I also recommend getting some beautiful incense, candles and a journal to accompany you on your journey.

What the daily devotional involves

Each day, you will sit with the rose in tea meditation – you can join me live each morning for my personal practice at 7.30am CET or you can follow the guided practices in the portal. 

Whether you have 30 minutes or 2 hours – there are no rules, this is simply about making space to listen, to be, to receive.

You will also receive a daily audio or written transmission exploring each of the 15 mysteries of the Rosary along with ritual journalling prompts. Explore these at your leisure, on a walk during the day, as you tend to your daily tasks, or as part of your morning ceremony.

As part of the live daily practices we will also pray the rosary (note this is completely optional and not necessary if you don’t feel called). Alternatively you can simply pray at your own pace, in quiet – or indeed in stressful – moments during your day.

The power of this devotional is in its simplicity. 

These are practices that are meant to be woven into and through your day with ease so you can carry them with you for life.

If you simply wish to pray the Rosary and not join Rosa Mystica, there are daily circles available free, always, at the Way of the Rose.

 

How do the live calls work?

We meet in total 4 times for 2 hours, every five days. We open on the 6th April with a live call to dive into our intentions, to meet each other, set our intentions, and explore the medicine of the Joyful Mysteries. 

After five days, we meet again to share and explore the Sorrowful Mysteries. 

Following that we move on to the Glorious Mysteries, and finish with a closing call on Easter Sunday. 

As mentioned, you also have the option to join me for my personal practice each morning at 7.30am CET, for those that cannot attend live, guided practices will be available online. Dependent on demand, there will be other drop in circles available.

 

Is this only for Christians?

Quite the opposite in fact, Christians who follow scripture devoutly would likely find this journey challenging to their beliefs. 

All are welcome to Rosa Mystica, whether you are Christian, or like many (myself included), ran from Christianity due to religious trauma. All faiths are welcome, because the rose knows no boundaries when it comes to religion. She is present in all stories, in all faiths, by one name or another. She is our Mother, and she has never left us.

Rosa Mystica is about diving beneath dogma, and opening ourselves to having a direct experience with the mystery through building a relationship with the plant herself, and by exploring the story of the rosary through a mythic lens. A story that far preceeds the dawn of Christianity. 

If anything, this journey enables us to unravel our religious trauma, so that we can reconnect with the gleaming pearls of truth at the core of religion. Liberating us to connect with source teachings directly through our own lived experience.

Who is it not for?

  • If you get super triggered by religion, this may not be the container for you. Although this prayer devotional is NOT about Christianity nor is it designed for Christians, we are carried by the mythic story of Christ & Mother Mary which some may find difficult
  • If you hold tight to dogmatic approaches, this is not for you
  • If you’re not interested in a group dynamic perhaps this may not be the best journey for you. Interaction is what brings a devotional like this to life as we learn through the eyes, experiences and hearts of each other. That said if life is full for you, and you simply would like to catch up on the recordings this is also possible but please let me know if you’re not going to attend live
  • This is a plant led devotional where we work with the mythic story of the rosary.
